Victorian Verandaz

Located high up in the misty mountains of Coorg, the Modur Estate has been in our family for over 150 years. Ours is a working estate: we grow paddy, cardamom, coffee and pepper. You will also find lime, orange, papaya, avocado, banana and bitter orange trees throughout the property. We're always delighted to show off our plantation and point out the local flora, but there's more than cash crops and fruit. The 100 acre estate contains 4 lakes, several perennial streams, a small waterfall, and a beautiful (but steep) path that wends its way from the breathtaking views of the hilltop to the paddy fields at the bottom. We have left some parts of the estate uncultivated to encourage biodiversity, so don't be surprised if you find local wildlife close at hand: if you're lucky you may see rabbits, jungle fowl, and deer wandering by. You may also spot the occasional wild boar, mongoose, rat snake or house lizard. They all help us keep insects and small vermin at bay, and are harmless if left alone.

As a “bed and breakfast” homestay, we offer you Bread and eggs ( of ur choice) and either a south indian or coorg breakfast depending on the menu for the day, breakfast is served till 9 am...along with tea or coffee. Breakfast is served until 9 am. Our guests tend to see the sights and have lunch in nearby Madikeri (Mercara), so we do not usually prepare lunch. Dinner is served from 8pm until 9pm, we offer vegetarian / non-vegetarian meals as well as the Famous pandhi kari (pork)...at an additional cost. For your convenience, meals are served in a separate dining room. We can prepare a relaxing a campfire can be arranged at a nominal cost prior to your evening meal. We do not serve liquor, however you are welcome to bring your own. Come and experience the authentic Coorg lifestyle at Victorian Verandaz!

For a DB Room per night and comes with Complimentary Breakfast. An Extra Mattress will cost Rs 1000/- with Complimentary Breakfast. We do not serve Lunch on the Property. Dinner can be served on request at Rs 600/- Adult for a Veg/Non Veg Meal.

Our check in is 1pm/ check out time is 11am.
Guests will be required to send us/Transfer an Advance amount being 50% of our Rentals to confirm their stay with us.
